My understanding is that you can configure clones to use a server other
than the master, but you cannot cross servers ( if using a storage node,
all drives must be on that node)

Cloning be default only uses the master server's devices to read the
volumes from which clones are made and only the master server's devices
to write the clones - am I missing something?

Failing that, you can setup a restriction on the devices in the clone
pool such that only those you wish to use are selected - I do this to
keep clones in a partictular jukebox since I have two jukeboxes attached
to the master server, one being a VTL

I'm trying to figure out how I can force legato to only use the servers
devices for source & target cloning.

Our setup is as follows

1 server w/3 CDL devices & 2 physical devices
3 storage nodes w/1 CDL device each

All backup are done to the default pool which all 6 CDL devices can
access, but I only want the source tapes to be mounted in the servers
CDL device because of better throughput and can clone data faster. It's
not a case of drives not being available as they are both empty.
