You could use 'nsrjb' to put a tape in the drive you want, then fire
scanner on the drive.  Scripting that would be somewhat annoying if you
wanted to handle different error conditions, but it's basically a simple
loop if you ignore them.

Would it be possible to just do a saveset recovery directly (which would
load the tapes), or is this some sort of cross-platform recovery that
you're doing?
