I haven't used 7.3.1 but I have worked with Debbie and she is awesome.
She really knows her stuff

My recommendation:
Install the 7.3.1 NMC on a Client PC. You can than allow it to gather
data and give your STAFF a chance to review the NMC interface before you
upgrade to 7.3.2
I have done this on a Win XP Box and it works great. A couple of
"thingies" giving me technical issues. (Can't label some tapes using
this NMC thingy, but I am working through that with EMC Tech Support.
TOMORROW (Friday) is my last day working with Debbie Dunn. She is (about
to be was) my Tech Support Team Leader.
I tried to tell her if she kept doing "that" good work they were going
to promote her. Well she did not believe my threats... Lo' & Behold the
wench got promoted.
Hmm I have had TWO team leads and they both get promoted.
Maybe I am the loose cannon here.
Debbie Dun enroute to RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT...
May she Rest IN PEACE... <Grin>

Two bonus Widgets if anyone tell me where that reference came from?

Most of us are waiting for 7.3.2 which is rumoured to be out
by the end of this month. even then it's going to have to
prove itself on a new 'greenfields' site I'm building before
I upgrade any 7.2.1 or 7.2.2's
- there's also the small matter of retraining all our staff
to use NMC for administration.
Some others on this list have found that 7.3.1 is at least
workable compared to 7.3 and 7.3.jumbo, but there are issues
still such as the occasional crashing daemon (eg the new
nsrjobd seems to have had some quality issues not yet fixed in 7.3.1).
One other notable reason for waiting for 7.3.2 is the solaris
zfs support.
I suggest handing that media kit you received to some kids to
make something out of. As usual, it's out of date as soon as
it arrives.
