I have a customer who has done this and it is working fine on 6 W2K clients.
It does require the SYMapi solutions enabler and then you have to run a
licensing utility and type in the no-charge key.

Make sure your EMC utilities are up to date on all the hosts that are
involved in PowerSnap. Especially make sure PowerPath is happy on both your
proxy host (usually the NW server) and PowerSnap client. Watch out for that
little cross-hatch over the PowerPath taskbar icon in the lower right corner
of your desktop. If PowerPath isn't happy, PowerSnap isn't happy. That is
the first thing I look for if PS was working and now it isn't working.

Also check to make sure you can "admsnap activate -s sessionname" your
sessions from the command line on the proxy host. That's basic stuff that
has to work before PowerSnap ever gets involved.

Has anyone done this upgrade? I was told that I also needed to install
"Solutions Enabler - SymAPI" and a SYmAPI license which is available
free of charge from 'Powerlink' website.

I've had so many problems with Legato and it took 18 months to get it
stable - I don't want to mess it up.

PowerSnap is at 2.2.1, recently released, you might want to consider
upgrading.

We had a flarecode upgrade done to our EMC Clariion on Sunday night and
now the SNAPs are failing (see log below). Has anyone else had this
issue? I am running Networker 7.21 and Powersnap 2.0.1. EMC Software
and Legato support are working on this, but have not found an answer
yet.

Thanks,
Kathy Stewart
