After a tape is flagged full due to error you will usually find suspect
savesets on the tape volume.

One can query them with (in unix shell speak)

Mminfo \
        -s $NSR_SERVER \
        -q'!ssrecycle,suspect' \
        -r'volume,pool,client,level,savetime,ssflags,clflags'

I have developed the habit of at least copying all savesets flaged
suspect on normal backup pools to verify that the data is at least
readable, I have been bitten a few times by suspect savesets that were
not set to aborted or incomplete but were still not readable (version
5.5 and version 6.0.1 if I remember well).

That's what I was afraid of. However somehow I would have expected
Networker to flag the tape as bad in stead of just moving on to the next
tape. I've got 1 tape device which sometimes writes at a very low speed,
I'm keeping an eye on it. Of course since the moment I decided to keep
an eye on that drive it works perfectly at full speed. It knows, I'm
sure it knows...

Thanks

Nico
