This will explain why the wildcards have not worked for me. We have
exchange module 2 as this supports exchange 5.5

I need to add something to my previous comment. Wildcards support is  
not available in the Exchange modules prior to version 4.1 so if you  
want to explore this wildcard feature, you need to upgrade to 4.1 of  
the NetWorker Exchange module.
