A Power Edition is a must only when you run your NetWorker server on a
cluster setuip and want to have NetWorker services failed over during a
node failure.

Hello,

Power Edition includes 2 numbers of NETWORKER CLUSTER CLIENT CONNECTION
license within. If you buy Network Edition, probably you need to buy
them s eparately.
May be thats the reason he is asking you to go for Power Edition. ( you
have to pay for them buying in addition to the base license if you go
for Network
Editon)

With NetWorker, I dont think you can backup a client which is part of
cluster *with out* Cluster Client License (even if you are backing them
up as physical clients and not as the cluster/virtual machine - no
backup
fail-over)

If you have Oracle servers in cluster and you are looking forward to
back them up you have to have the Cluster Client licenses anyways.

You would also require NETWORKER MODULE FOR ORACLE ON UNIX for backing
up your ORACLE DB.

If you have a Library, you have to buy NETWORKER AUTOCHANGER SOFTWARE
[one license per Library] also :) - based on # of slots. (in slabs of
9, 16, 20, 30, 40, 64, 128, 256, 400, 512, 700, and unlimited slots)

Regards
Shyam
