You cannot do it for the tape. You can change the volume to manual
recycle so the tape will not be overwritten. You can use the nsrmm
command if they are not in your jukebox or nsrjb if still allocated. 

No you can change a saveset retention. Get one saveset on each volume
and run the following command againest that saveset. That should force
the tape to follow those retention cycles. 

You cannot do anything with tapes that have already gone into recyclable
status except pull them and do not overwrite. 

Nsrmm -S ssid -w mm/dd/yy -e mm/dd/yy

-w flag is browsable and the -e flag is rentention.
