Kim, we have 2 Spectralogic devices, a T120 and a T950. 

Our T120 has 6 LTO-2 drives, and during peak times, get over 50 MB/s.
In fact, I have a backup running right now on 3 EXCHANGE servers
(connected via Fiber to a SAN), and am getting 59MB/s, 20MB/s, and
21MB/s on the 3 backups. 

We run in a Windows environment, so not sure if that plays a role. 

Also, how many tapes per QIP do you have?  (We have 3 tapes per 2 GB
QIP). 

Have you talked to your Spectralogic rep??

Just spent lots of dollars with the main interest being of decreasing
time of backups and it's not happening. Doh!
