I worked for a VAR until recently and we would recommend against certain
products/versions because of quality. Bad quality would affect our customers
production systems - not good - and we would then also have to spend much
time, at our cost, to fix them or trouble shoot them for EMC - so I guess in
that respect, it did cut our margins.

When VARs complain/jump ship it usually has more to do with profit
margings than it has to do with product quality. Hence my comment about
the VAR Manager for EMC. His children are NOT happy. /ALE
