Hello Networkers- Quick clarity question: when designating saveset
"all"
does this imply that when a client (client A) decides to permanently
rest that one could restore the saveset "all" to a different client
(client B) and then client A is miraculously resurrected in client B?
I don't quite understand your question. If you are asking if you
can use NetWorker to migrate data from an old server to a new
server, the answer is yes, provided that both server's run the same
types of file systems. When you recover the data, you will have to
recover each individual saveset to an individual drive on the new
server; NetWorker will not make the decision for you. You would do
well to review the documentation for the record utility.
Oops, I meant to say ...
