Environment:
Server: Networker 7.3 running on Solaris 8
Client: Networker 7.3 running on RHEL 3
I am running an evaluation version of Networker 7.3 on solaris. I am
trying to setup a RHEL 3 client to be backed up. The jobs and backup
actions I setup keep failing.
When I run a scheduled job, I get this in the daemon.log:
04/19/06 12:04:32 nsrexecd: GSS Legato authentication user session entry
(warning): "User authentication session timed out and is now invalid.".
Session number = 0:178, domain = (none), user name = root, NetWorker
Instance Name = linux_client
When I get on the client and try and run a networker process like
nwbackup I get the following:
nwbackup: Using networker_server as server
nwbackup: RPC error: Authentication failed or no valid authentication
methods supported by both client and server
nwbackup: unable to locate server. You should run 'nwbackup -s
<servername>'
I've gone through the admin manual and the error messages. I have
verified that the machines know about each other (nslookup, ping, etc).
I was able to change the administration permissions on the client and
view client info via the networker console. I regenerated the
certificate.
