You certainly can in NetWorker V7.3, and I believe jbconfig allows you to do
this in NetWorker V7.1.4.

Subject: [Networker] Storage nodes/server sharing a tape library

We currently have our NW server sharing several tape drives with a
dedicated storage node using DDS. We're looking at implementing a
storage node (not dedicated) to reduce the load on our NW server.
Rather than using DDS to share drives between this new storage node and
the NW server, we'd like to dedicate several tape drives to just this
storage node. If the NW server controls the robotics of the library,
can we assign drives to be used only by a storage node?

Our environment's details:

- NW server v7.1.4 on Solaris 9 (soon to be NW v7.2.2 on Solaris 10)

- ADIC Sc10K

- Proposed storage node would be running Solaris 10 and the same version
of NW as the server

Thanks.

Teresa
