Opened a support call with EMC/Legato and found that there were corrupt mail
boxes.  We have been in the process for awhile of moving mailboxes from an
old version to the new platform.  We added and exclude file for these mail
boxes.  The SA for the exchange server will either repair or make new ones.
We were running fulls via the exchange module

how are you backing it up? by files or exchange module? full or
incremental?
