I could use some help on a tape labelling issue please.

Site is running 7.2 (Build 172) on Windows 2000 Server. There is a Storage Node running Windows 2003 and sharing tape drives with the Networker Server via DDS. I cannot get tapes labelled for the backup of the Storage Node itself. When I initiate the label action it faults with an error "Cannot find an available nsrmmd service for operation on device 'rd=sap011.findel- education.co.uk:\\.\Tape0' Try again.
I can see one or more nsrmmd processes running on the Storage Node.

Any suggestions on how to progress/resolve would be appreciated.

Not sure exactly what this problem would be, but it could be that there is a problem with the nsrmmd on the node communicating with the server. I would start by checking that all the forward and reverse DNS lookups work both ways between the server and the node, checking the servers file on the node, and restarting the NetWorker service on the node. Try connecting to the nsrexecd service on the node from the server using
echo | nsradmin -p 390113 -s storagenodename
and see whether you get the expected responses.
