Answer to question 1. Browse and retention polices must both be met for
your tape to go into recyclable status. If you set your browse and
retention policy to 4 weeks for all clients writing to the same pool,
after the fourth week when all full and incrementals have rolled off the
tape will go into recyclable status. The tape will get relabeled and
re-used when a another labeled blank tape or an appendable tape are not
available. Please be careful about retention polices for clients. If you
have 10 clients all writing to the same pool and two clients have 6
month retention policies you will have the tapes waiting six months to
be recycled. Create pools based on policies and make sure you do not mix
them. You can have 2 week retention in the same pool as 4 weeks but do
not have 6 months in the same pool as 4 weeks. 

2) You can run a mminfo query or nsrjb to see which tapes are in
recyclable status and relable them if you wish. Just let networker
handle that for you. You might need auto media management turned on in
your jukebox config.

I am totally a newbie for networker. I have did a good reading of the
documentation, and there are some questions which were not answered.

1. How do make the tapes re-usable( I did some reading on "Browse and
Retention Policy" chapter, and it said that unless the tapes reach time
set on browse and retention policy, tapes wouldnt be re-usable.

2. Once the time on Browse and Retention expires, how do we make the
tapes re-usable.
