Well, index can be redirected to a SN but bootstrap NOT.

A good setup is to disable from all group the index save (use -I option
from CLI or check "no index save' from GUI for groups issued by backup
server)
Then, creatre a group (INDEXGRP, for sample), where all clients are membre
of and schedule it manually (savegrp -O INDEXGRP) once a day.
Adapt your pool cfgs for allowing group INDEXGRP (mark INDEXGRP or other
depending of your pool setup) and adapt backup server's storage node
affinity to 1)SN you want the streams to go to qnd then 2) to
nsrserverhost.

Indexes will go to that pool on the SN but bootstraps will always be saved
on/by the backup server locally attached devs. Now you need a device to
send bootstrap to or a file dev laballed in same pool indexes were sent
to. Then, once bootstrap is saved, use nsrstqge to move bootstrap to
another pool and free-up file dev. This small Filedev may be a small FS,
no needs of lot of Gbs, just depending of how your bootstrap big in size
is.
