My guess is the licensing limit on the number of nsrmmd's    - do you have 
network edition or power edition? In versions prior to 7.2 the limit is 256, 
but if you have a later version and power edition the limit is 512.

Davina is, as usual, correct.  See 'Appendix A: Base Enablers' in the NetWorker 
V7.3 Release Notes

pdf) for the various NetWorker maximums and limits.  I don't see the limit that 
you hit, but please think about all of these limits together in the context of 
your environment.

The fact that this breakpoint comes on a number that is a power of 2 
makes me very suspicious. I think you should be contacting Legato 
Support and not this list. You may have hit some limit that is in the 
code by design or by accident.
