[Networker] nsrexec query
2006-01-25 20:53:59
I occasionally have backup responsibility for backing up machines
that I don't have a login on. Sometimes I need to do a quick sanity
check on hosts. Is there a quick way to ask the remote nsrexecd what
it's hostname is?
I can do a whole setup and fire off a probe savegroup, but that's a bit
of work if I could replace it with a simple one-liner. I seem to
remember that I could just use a simple nsrexec call from the server to
gather the general info from a client (hostname, OS, version, etc.) but
I didn't manage to find it in the archives.
Does this make sense?
Thanks!
