[Networker] tape device error
2006-01-11 11:13:45
All:
Here are the steps I was doing,
1. Label the tape,
2. Start the backup.
3. The networker marks the tape as full with only 3M written.
Here is the log, and it is pointing to wrong block size.
Wed 21:00:00 piaqsvr02:/autotree saving to pool 'Default' (WED)
Wed 21:00:01 media warning: /dev/rmt/0cbn writing: I/O error, at file 2
record 53
Wed 21:00:01 media notice: LTO Ultrium tape WED on /dev/rmt/0cbn is full
Wed 21:00:01 media notice: LTO Ultrium tape WED used 3328 KB of 100 GB
capacity
Wed 21:00:11 media notice: Volume "WED" on device "/dev/rmt/0cbn": Block
size is 32768 bytes not 65536 bytes. Verify the device configuration.
Tape positioning by record is disabled.
Wed 21:00:11 media info: verification of volume "WED", volid 2999302147
succeeded.
Wed 21:00:17 write completion notice: Writing to volume WED complete
Wed 21:00:17 media info: Suggest manually labeling a new writable volume
for pool 'Default'
Wed 21:00:17 media waiting event: Waiting for 1 writable volumes to
backup pool 'Default' tape(s) on piaqsvr02
It is complaining on the block size. How do I fix this.
Thanks in advance,
-Balki
