Re: [Networker] Legato 7.3

the startup webpage checks the version, and barfs if it is not within specified
range.
... further testing has shown that the 7.2.1 solaris nwadmin client works fine
with 7.3... i will keep trying with the windows nwadmin...
also on the bloat question... most of the nmc package (130MB out of 230)
appears to be jre installer packages for version 1.4.2_09.
i have managed to launch it from windows firefox now that i have that version
of jre installed...
so maybe i wont be getting too cranky with EMC just yet as i can at least
consider upgrading .... of course now there is the hard work of figuring out
which of the 100 or so rumoured changes made it into the release...
- i'm not seeing any mention of the versions in the ftp site being Beta, i will
get confirmation on monday from our account manager that it's the real deal
before getting too serious about evaluating it, unless anyone else knows more?

Can you clarify if it won't run or if its just not "supported" (is
anything supported that is from this millenia with networker? :P )? If it
won't run with 1.5, then its is SERIOUSLY flawed, even though Java
software tends to be flawed by design.. ;)
