Hi Mark

I believe that there is no technical limit on the size of an AFTD in
NetWorker. BUT, remember that NetWorker licenses use of the FTD/AFTD
(collectively called the Disk Backup Option (DBO)) based on capacity; the
more you use, the more you'll pay. Beyond this, each file system does have
a limit. Depending on which Linux you're using, a 2 TB ext3 may be just
fine.

FYI, I did some research a while back into file systems, looking for maximum
file system sizes and maximum numbers of files per file system, and became
intrigued by the large number of good file system options for Linux. I'd
have to look for the details, but I remember really liking JFS' feature set.
FWIW.

Hi, is there a restriction on the size of a volume that you can mount on
an advanced file type device. I have a 2tb disk with 2tb filesystem
(linux ext3 files system). I have mounted a legato volume on this disk
device. Is this configuration supported.

Thanks, Mark
