Hi, I am moving clients from one legato server to a new legato server. I
need to keep the client ID the same in case I need to scan in old tapes
for recoveries at some date in the future. I copy the client ID from the
current client and I create the new client on the new server and paste
in the Client ID. This works fine.

But I created five new clients without pasting in the client ID. I now
would like to remove these clients and re-create them using the old
client ID. This fails saying that the client ID already exists for this
client. I have deleted the client and the client index from /nsr/index
and restarted networker but still the same error. Although I did run a
test backup on these clients when I created them without pasting the old
client ID, these backups are now expired and no piece of media lists any
savesets from them. There is also no reference to them in mminfo
commands.

Is the client ID kept somewhere else that I can delete all references to
these clients?

Regards, Mark
