Hello,
Can someone point to or explain the dependancies that Networker has on HOST
file vs using DNS, i would like to eliminate the use of it if possible.
What consiquencies\limitations are involved.
How much and how often reverse lookups are consulted by Networker ?
will eliminating Host file put extra load on existing Networker server ?
My enviroment
Windows 2000, Networker 7.2.1, 130 windows Network attached Networker
clients.
100 MB ethernet conneted.
I do know that i might lose the flexibility to direct the Networker clients
to a perticular IP address if i chose to eliminate Host file.
Also i want to know what impect on SAN enviroment will it have.
