[Networker] Generating a report of recoveries by saveset, client, and volume
2005-11-18 02:18:14
We are using Networker 7.2.1 hosted on RedHat Linux.
Does anyone know a way to generate a report or summary of recovery
operations that would include the time, date, file(s) (if a file
recovery), saveset, backup client, recovery client, and volumes used for
each of the recovery operations performed during some time period? The
idea here is to be able to provide an audit trail as to what specific
backups were restored as part of our period tape restoration testing. I
can't seem to find this information in the logs or how to do this in the
mminfo man page. The read attribute (indicating the amount of data read
from a volume) seems to be about the only clue, and it doesn't give me
information about what was recovered.
Can anyone provide pointers on how to get this information? Perhaps I
need to turn up debug levels during recoveries to get this information in
the logs, then parse the logs?
Thanks,
Tom
