Can you simply use 'mmrecov' to recover the media database from tape on a different endian box (Linux), assuming you backed it up using 'savegroup -o groupname -l full' on Solaris? My understanding is that the media database gets backed up every time the server gets backed up, so if the server is a member of 'groupname' then you'd have a backup of the media database on tape, too, so you could then use 'mmrecov' on the other endian machine? Would this do the same thing?

How would you use uasm?

uasm -s /nsr > somefile
uasm -r < somefile
