Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help. We run Networker 7.1 with a Windows 2000
client that we are backing up via NDMP to LTO-2 drives. The backup starts,
loads a tape into the drive, and verifys the label. Then it gives the
error messages "failed to close NDMP tape device,SCSI device is not
open", "failed to open NDMP tape device, I/O error" before hanging the
jukebox on unload retry errors.

Although this backup has worked in the past. I believed it was a timing
error that probably needed the Unload Sleep, Load Sleep, Eject Sleep
settings to go up to 180 Seconds. from 5. I changed the settings but still
the same errors.

I'm thinking it could be the LTO drive itself that might need changing but
all the other non-NDMP backups work fine through that drive.

Thanks for any help,

Martin.
