Thanks, really, there is no real problem, windows servers from time to
time have issues on themselves, ( not backup server) and either leak
memory, fail RPC or get hung and this i think is not Networker server
issue, however, i wanted to see if any other programs have any better
success rate.
Personally i think 98% + is very good.
Thanks

Fazil,
I cannot speak to other backup products but I run a shop similar to yours
and have virtually no backup errors using NetWorker 7.2.x.
perhaps you could provide add'l information about the platform on which
your bkup server runs, and the kind of errors you're seeing ?

Hello,
Does someone have knoledge about other major backup software such as
netbackup and Galaxy, Tivoli etc.
What are the major differencies when compared to Networker, more
importantly what are the client and backup failure rates, I have over 130
clients on Windows 2k\3k, LTO1 drives all backed up to Networker 7.2.1 on
the network, from time to time i get a failure, i usually have over 98%
sucess with my backups, how does that compare to other vendors, what are
the major headach or issues.
Please give as much details as possible.
