That all depends on how you backup the linux client, if they are on the 
network then you can use the regular network client, this way the backups 
can be slower ( depending on your linux server size) if you truly want to 
take advantage of fast san connections (FC) and or do block level backup 
and restore you will need lots of addtional licences.
ie NDMP or Powersnap, Dynamic drive sharing and or addtinal storage node 
etc.
