I not that you say that you tried to move a tape with the front panel
interface, as that is not directly related to Networker and tapes haing in
mid air so to speak seem to suggest hardware problems wit your box. I myself
have seen gripper problems like this on Exabyte 18 DLT loaders.
As to the tapes being marked full , I have no direct ideas,
Dit you try removing the JB from networker and reconfiguring it from scratch
with jbinit, in the past this has helped me with erratic loaders.
