Well, if I could to this in the GUI, then I guess the old storage node would
be alive not dead! :) Thanks, but not possible.

However, I did solve it in a trivial way: I editet the local /etc/hosts
file on the main server to make the old storage node's server name an alias
of the new storage node's server name. Worked like a charm. Now I have a
different issue with the jukebox, will email the list separately.

You need to edit the old jukebox in the GUI.
Select volume tab
Remove entries for loaded volume, loaded barcode and loaded slot (be sure
not to delete line feeds as Networker requires the same number of lines in
each of these fields as there are devices) Click OK Display jukebox to
confirm that no volumes appear Delete jukebox

OK, I got my new Win2K3 server up and running with a tape library as a
storage node (7.1.3), now when I try to add the tape library with
'jbconfig', I get an error at the very end because it says I need a license.
I already have a license, but it is considered in use by the now-dead older
server. I was able to delete the auto-loader, but the two tape devices
still show as attached to the dead server. I can' t just delete them (at
least, not in the admin gui) because Legato thinks there are still tapes
mounted. How do I get around this? I tried resetting the location, that
doesn't work for the two tapes that it thinks are actually mounted in
drives.
