Simple question: Can a server be both a client and a storage node?
Yes, and in fact, it is impossible to have a NetWorker server that is
not a client and a storage node. The storage node ability is what
allows a NetWorker server to manage its tape libraries. Since a
NetWorker server has to back up its index files, it also needs to be
a client. This is all well explained in the NetWorker Administrators
Guide if I am not mistaken. There is no hit on your licensing though
for this; the storage node and client connection are freebies.
