Hi all,

Please see if my inputs for these problems help resolve them --

Piyush -> If you have NetWare 6.5 SP3, you would need a tcpip update from
Novell support site, else the NetWare client will hang. You would also need
to ensure you supply NetWare username and password on the "Remote" tab in
the NetWorker nwadmin GUI in the NetWare client's properties pop-up box.
Another thing to make sure is that "nsrexecd.nlm" should be running on the
NetWare box for scheduled backup to start. Also, the binary save.nlm,
typically in sys:\nsr\bin, should be present in the search path of the
NetWare box.

Piyush -> Ensure smsut.nlm and TSAFS.NLM are loaded on the NetWare box
before attempting to load networkr.nlm of the 7.2 client. Also ensure that
if you have the older NetWare client (version 4.2x) then all of its binaries
have to be unloaded, otherwise there might be a symbol crash. Specifically,
unload rap.nlm, rpcxdr.nlm, nsrlib.nlm and lgshim.nlm.

Also note that with the new NetWare 7.2 client, scheduled backup does not
need the environment variable NSR_SUPPORT_NETWARE_4X to be set. Let me know
if things still don't work.

Piyush

  Hi guys!

I haven't seen any of your problems either.
I don't have the environment variable on my system, I do have NW 6.5 sp4,
and
everything is working great!

Besides the fact that the NDS backups always goes to Default pool, and not
with the other savesets. This has been point out here in the mailing list.
And I have opened a case towards Legato about it, after my own reproduction.

Regarding the public symbols stuff... it's probably some other program that
you have installed on your NetWare box that is "colliding" with NetWorker.
I
saw some similar type of errors a long time ago, it was the Perl modules
that
had some public symbols named the same as NetWorker.
Try to get a more specific error message.

Regarding the Schedule backups not working (if I understood it right)...
what
does the daemon.log say about it?

Have a nice day all!
/JC
