I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this. I'm currently running
7.1.1 on Solaris.

While tracking down some non-recycled tapes, I found some old
savesets that have passed the retention period, but are not recyclable.

$ /usr/sbin/mminfo -av -q 'volume=<volume>,!ssrecycle' -r
'savetime,ssretent,level,totalsize,ssid'
  date    retent    lvl      total ssid
 06/25/05 07/26/05 incr          4 2008892004
 06/26/05 07/27/05 incr          4 2176755743

So I've got 2 on this tape, they should have recycled over a month ago,
but did not. When I run 'nsrim' on this volume explicitly...

$ nsrim -n -v -V <volume> | grep -- '->'
2008892004  6/25/05  i         0 files    0 KB browse->recover->recycle->delete
2176755743  6/26/05  i         0 files    0 KB browse->recover->recycle->delete

So it knows that they're recyclable (and even elegible for deletion
since there are no files in the saveset), but it hasn't ever changed the
status of them. If I run nsrim by hand (without the -n), it'll go ahead
and mark the savesets recyclable (and the volume as well). But
presumably it should have done this already, since scheduled saves have
been running over the last month.

$ /usr/sbin/mminfo -av -q 'volume=<volume>,!ssrecycle' -r
'savetime,ssretent,level,totalsize,ssid'
mminfo: no matches found for the query

I didn't see anything about this in either tech bulletins or release
notes, but I could have missed something. Has anyone else seen this
behavior?

Thanks!
