6696 -rw-rw-r-- 1 user_name group_name 130400308 Aug 11 16:53 filename

The recover ran just fine, and the recovered size was 130400308 bytes, but seemed odd that it would mention 6696 KB given that the file is actually around 120 MB.

Do some googling about "sparse files" on UNIX.  You'll understand once
you've read through some of the hits you'll get.
