You picked a good time to post this question as I recently went through a
nightmare trying to sort out problems caused by changing this.

Not sure about the answer to your question, but I do know from my recent
Experience that if you use either the Lotus Notes BSM or the one for
Exchange 5.5, then you are most likely going to have problems (and this may
cause problems with other BSM's also).

I removed this recently because I didn't want just anyone to be able to run
a report and see what was backed up during our nightly backups. Doing this
in turn broke backups which involved either the Lotus Notes or Exchange
BSM's. What's worse, is that each BSM requires different levels of access,
or else the backup will fail.

I suspect I could still limit who can run reports by being more specific by
using something like *@lotus.notes.server in the list, but I haven't tried
this. Right now I've got it at the default setting, but when I have some
time I'll test the limits of this some more.

If you do change this and experience problems, make sure that when you
change it back to check the boxes for "allowed to backup and recover" local
files. If you don't do that, then you may continue to still have problems.

Legato insists we put this value in our User Groups -> Users field.
However, doesn't this allow anyone who is an Administrator of a client
be able to restore cross-client with any other client in the datazone?
