Legato has a workaround for this.

>From the command line, do a nsrmm with a -p parameter, such as 'nsrmm -p
-f \\.\Tape0'


This rereads the label of the tape and assumedly unmounts the tape.
When the command finishes, you can change the mode, or whatever, of the
volume.   If your automedia management is off, you should issue a mount
command, nsrmm -m -f \\.\Tape0.

Now if they fix the GUI in the next version, or issue a patch for 7x, I
would be  happier.
