You can safely ignore. There is some background process creating these files. They are a PITA because they accumulate, but that is more a problem for the admin of the system.

Hey All,



We get an extraordinary number of these warnings.



C:\WINNT\system32\Perflib_Perfdata_4f8.dat: cannot open (The process
cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)




I'm fairly certain I can safely add it to the global directive, but I
can't seem to find out what it really is.  Googling hasn't come up with
much, just that it is related to some type of performance monitoring.
Anyone have more specific idea of what it is?
