To estimate the index size, you need to know the number of files on the
server and the length of time for the browse windows. It is the number of
file references and browse window that affects index size the most.

A server with 1 million files but only 50gb will have a much bigger index
than a server with 1 hundred thousand files but 100gb of storage.

Librado,

We use Networker 7.1.2 on a EMT64 Dell 2850 running RHEL 3 with no problems.

Space for systems files will depend on your OS - our Linux install is
2.5GB. Space for the indicies will depend on the data on the clients,
but the indicies I have for 20 clients with a 1 month retention time and
backups every night are about 5GB, but you want plenty of room to grow.
