The post regarding "Volume Clone Question" raises an interesting
question to me. It was pointed out that when you clone savesets, they
don't have separate entries in the database, so if you remove either the
original volume or the clone, the index entries are gone. Okay. Now,
lets suppose in the process of cloning some savesets, you also clone the
indexes, and now your clone volume has both. If you remove the original,
and the index entries are now gone, can you simply run: 'nsrck -t "date"
-L7 clientname' to recover the indexes from the clone volume? Will
NetWorker be clever enough to figure out that it has a backup clone
volume that contains the affected index(es)? OR, will you need to scan
the clone tape?

Seems a shame to have to scan a tape if you have the indexes cloned to a
backup clone volume. Now, when I say that you have clones of the indexes
I don't necessarily mean that these clone volumes contain ONLY indexes,
but minimally if they contained the indexes in question, never mind the
other savesets they might also contain.
