Lots of useful info, thanks to everyone who took the time to reply.
I had to specify MSSQL$<instance name>: in the client saveset before I
could get backups working ( there are two instances which contain a
number of databases on this Win 2000 server ).
I did think that just using MSSQL: would have caught all of the
instances/databases, this works for all of our other MSSQL servers.
Currently looking through the docs if I find out why just using MSSQL:
does'nt work when there is more than one instance running on the server
( in our experience! ).

Hi all
Having problems setting up hot backups of MS SQL on Windows 2000,
getting the following error messages.

Server does not exist or access denied..

* netdev2:MSSQL: Cannot login to SQL Server null.
Anyone seen this before? Any pointers would be gratefully received.
We are already backing up other MSSQL servers using this module but
the
Windows admin who set these backups up has left :o(
Normal backups of this machine run correctly, dns etc is fine.
