Hello all,

Wondering if anyone on this subscriber's list has any experience with
siemens's networker client experience? The version I am referring to is
5.1A30 client.

The following tests were successfull:

ping from new_legato_server to client
ping from client to new_legato_server
rpcinfo -p from client to new_legato_server
rpcinfo -p from new_legato_server to client

The above shows that the client is able to communicate with the
new_legato_server in some way, however neither save nor recover would work
on the client. As the new_legato_server is SUN based I have ran snoop on
the backup interface to check for network traffic and found that no network
traffic is coming from client at all when save or recover is ran.

The nsrexecd daemon was restarted with nsrexecd -s <new_server>, with the
correct entry in /etc/hosts.

This Siemens client is currently successfully backup and recovered to
another SUN based Legato Networker.

I have a very firm suspicion there is something funny/specific that I am
missing on the Siemen's Networker client, any ideas/comments would be
appreciated.

Cheers,
