This explains a bit.  We're in the final stages of configuring a STK
BladeStore here, and went with VxVM /w DMP and LUNs no bigger than 1
TB (actual size of 990 Mb each) since we're using Solaris 8.  I
already have the first multi-TB concatenation (soon to be striping
based on recommendation from the Veritas folks here) up and failover
tested, two more to go.

Solaris 9 was entertained briefly, but my manager did some research
and told me we'll use Veritas instead.  Unfortunately the only problem
we're having now is with the number of LUNs that BladeStore can send
to one host (or host HBA pair, need to check with STK on that).

So far my rule of thumb with Solaris works:  Use the even-numbered
versions only.  (2.6 & 8 so far, so 10 once it goes live :-)
