I originally had problems with Imation LTO-2 tapes (black watch)
we now started buying IBM LTO-2 tapes.

However I also have occasional problems on the IBM tapes
Usually directly after the error we get a error 6 on the IBM drives, sadly
that the error led is not visible on the outside of our Exabyte 110L loader.

In the manual of the Ultrium-2 drives from IBM i found:

Error  6: unknown error, could be the tape could be the drive, please
investigate further (to paraphrase the manual)

Quite frustrating.
