Thank you to all who have replied.
I am looking into the possibility of cloning
the clients my company agrees upon as critical
to recover the quickest in the event of a disaster.
Our next set of jukeboxes will have disk "in front of"
the tape drives so we will get better tape utilization.
For now, I will look into staging, too.
For tonight I have scripted something to eject tapes in
a "..., done" state so other storage nodes can use
the tapes instead of a labeling a new/empty one. Since
I don't have device sharing or a silo I don't think
the idle device timeout does anything.
