Environment:
NetWorker 7.1.2 on Windows 2003 server
1 - NetWorker Server and 1 - Storage Node (rd=)

Ok, so when I originally set this up I was told by my support guys
(SANZ) that when you do this type of setup the NetWorker server has to
have a local device attached to it in order to save the index and
bootstrap. I have only two different pools really, my weekly groups
write to a DailyIncr pool and my Weekends write to a FullWeekend pool.
I tried making a new pool called "bootstrap" and added my NetWorker
server to this pool and the index and bootstrap savesets to the pool
attributes but that did not seem to work, it always wanted the same pool
as the group on the NetWorker server. So I now label the local device
tapes to DailyIncr and FullWeekend depending on when it runs. Here is
my problem: When I receive my bootstrap report it reports one on the
remote storage node volume and one to the local device, like so:

7/21/2004 12:32:58 PM full 654219975 18 0 A0000038
7/21/2004 12:32:58 PM full 654219975 4 0 neo.002

If it can write the bootstrap to the A0000038 volume on rd=<REMOTE
STORAGE NODE> then do I really need the local device? If I don't need
the local device how can I get it to write to the rd?

Thanks,
Brian
