Hi,

If you do an "ad hoc" save, or, as you said, a manual save from the GUI, the 
backup will always go to the pool "Default".
The only way to use an other pool is to initiate the save on the CLI with the 
option "-b", example save -l <yourlevel> -b "SE Full" .
