We are replacing our old system with both new hardware and Networker 7.1.X.
I am having some problems with configuring the new tape drives and could use
some assistance. The configuration is as follows:
SUN v440 - Solaris 9 with all of the latest patches
Drivers installed for scsi cards.
Quantum M2500 tape library with 2 - HP LTO 2 tape drives
-- the drives are scsi ids 1&2, where 1 = /dev/rmt/1cbn and 2 =
/dev/rmt/0cbn (I know it's confusing and it will be addressed)
Networker 7.1.2 - still in eval mode pending license enabler install

I put the following lines into the st.conf file per HP's information
tape-config-list =
"HP Ultrium", "HP Ultrium", "ULTRIUM";
ULTRIUM = 1, 0x36, 0, 0xd639, 4, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x42, 3;
name = "st" class = "scsi" target = 1 lun = 0;
name = "st" class = "scsi" target = 2 lun = 0;

I have 2 test tapes in the jb, labelled and barcoded "DEV.001" and
"DEV.002". When I try labelling, I can sometimes get one or both of them to
be labelled and recognized as available volumes. When I try just mounting a
tape or performing a rudamentary backup I receive the following errors:

The question is...Where do I begin? My old v6.0.3 w/DLT7000 on Solaris v7
hums along and provides no clues.
