It works fine, just keep in mind that if you are going from one host to
just one other host, it will only use 1 of the 4 links. Of course, a
backup server is almost the ideal box to use trunking as you will have a
many clients talking to the one trunked server. The switch will use the
MAC addresses on the clients to hash to a particular card. However,  if
you have a one or two big servers that have all your data, you won't
find much improvement, you would be better off with a gigabit card then.
