I have seen this occur when a drive is going bad. You may want to have it
checked.

Hi all,
can somebody explain what this error message means?
6/27/04 14:41:14 nsrd: /dev/nst0 Mount operation in progress
06/27/04 14:41:14 nsrmmd #1: tape_bsf bsf failed: drive status is The
drive
is not ready and the reason is not known
06/27/04 14:41:14 nsrmmd #1: tape_bsf bsf failed: drive status is The
drive
is not ready and the reason is not known
06/27/04 14:41:15 nsrd: media warning: /dev/nst0 moving: tape_bsf bsf
failed: drive status is The drive is not ready and the reason is not
known
I get this regularly with a DLT8000, and once a volume was marked as
"full".
